Bouguereau William was born on 30th November during the year 1825, at La Rochelle, France. His family had a business dealing with olive oil and wine. By means of his uncle, Eugene, William was directed to join a high school and sooner he started showcasing his artistic skills at very young age. Esteemed by his painting skills, a business client of William’s father had suggested him to send William to Bordeaux’s famous art school called “Ecole des Beaux-Arts”. William had won first price for his fine art work done on Saint Roch. In addition to paintings, he had spent time in learning anatomical dismemberments and gained his skills improved in the domain of ancient attires and archeology.
Bouguereau learnt the academic grace of painting by joining the studio of Franccois-Edouard Picot. By 1850, through his academic way of painting, he earned the prestigious Prix de Rome award. Throughout his lifetime, Bouguereau had relished name and fame in both France and US. He had won plentiful official tributes and first prices for his painting works. After spending his life time for academic and traditional artwork, Bouguereau had passed away at his age of 79 by August 19, 1905.
