Tamara de Lempicka, a famous Poland born painter and the first lady artist to become a charm star in Hollywood. Her style of paintings was more in the inclination of Art Deco, which is a persuasive pictorial arts design that got originated in France after the First World War. Lempicka was otherwise known as “The baroness with a brush”. Maria Gorska otherwise known as Tamara de Lempicka was born during the year 1898 in Warsaw, Kingdom of Poland when the rule was governed by Russian Empire. She was born in a rich and prominent family taken care by her father Boris Gurwik Gorski. She had her boarding school days spent at Lausanne in Switzerland. During winter she stayed with her grandma in Italy where she got exposed to Italian painting. After her parent’s got divorced, Lempicka stayed with her aunt Stefa in Russia (St. Petersburg). By 1916, she got married to a lawyer, Tadeusz Lempicki and during Russian revolution they together escaped after a great struggle to London and then to Paris.
Lempicka painted 28 new paintings in just within 6 months and exhibited in a Show organised at Milan, Italy during the year 1925. In the next 2 years, she won her first award in Bordeaux at the Exposition Internationale des Beaux Arts. During the course of time she got divorced and married to Baron Kuffner.
After spending her life for art and fashion, Lempicka died at her age 81, during her sleep by March 18, 1980.
