Claude Monet was a celebrated and legendry French painter who is well known for his Impressionism movement in art. Claude Monet was born in Paris by 14th November 1840. His father’s name was Adolphe and mother’s was Louise. After Claude had lost his mother he suffered a lot. Claude was anxious about failing eyesight at his last age however he continued to get involved in painting. Many of his art works are still exhibited in several art museums and galleries. Claude Monet’s father Adolphe had put his efforts in the family’s business in shipping industry. Whereas the mother, Louise was a house wife and she had a good interest in poetry. By 1845, Monet’s family got shifted to Le Harve, France which was well known as a port town. During his school days, Monet’s interest shifted towards painting and he was identified as Caricature painter as he had sketched many caricatures of his school teachers. Monet’s interest was clearly in outskirts rather than spending time at school and sooner he turned his interest from caricature to landscape art work by his early age mentor named “Boudin”. Monet’s mother died while he was around Seventeen in 1857. In 1859, he got signed up in the Academie Suisse at Paris. Then he served in military for 2 years and later during the Franco-Prussian war he took exile in England. After 1871 he returned to Argenteuil, France. Between the years 1870 to 1880, Claude Monet had then exhibited his art works in many of the exhibitions, through which the art impressionism movement name was derived. Monet died on 5th December, 1926 in Giverny.
